Natural everyday look

This is the first time I'm doing something like this - a blog tutorial for a natural everyday simple look. It doesn't involve heavy makeup and its especially ideal when you are in a rush yet still wanting to a presentable and refresh look. Follow me through this 5 simple steps.

My tools
Face
- Laneige Water Bank Mineral Skin Mist
- Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream
- Maybelline Pure Pact Mineral Foundation in Creamy Natural Light 5

Eyes
- Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black
- Eyelash Curler
- Daily Cross Lashes E (Bought from Daiso)
- DUO Eyelash Adhesive - Clear White

Lips
- Laneige pure Lipgloss in Snow Crystal

1. To begin, ensure that your face is clean and moisturized using the Laneige mineral skin mist followed by Laneige Gel Cream. Do not underrate the importance of this step.

Please pardon my zombie face :P

2. Apply Maybelline Pure Pact Mineral Foundation. This should be done after using the concealer.
For me, I'm skipping the concealer as I'd consider my skin fairly clear so a basic foundation would do the trick to cover minor impections on my face.
However, if you're using concealer, so common key spots to look out for are like acne scars, hyperpigmentations or pores around your nose area.

3. Next using the Dolly Wink liquid liner, start drawing from the inner to the outer edges of your upper lashline; and extending the line slightly upwards at the outer corner of the eyes. I usually draw in smaller strokes as it tends to give more control. Keep going back and forth till the desired thickness (refer to the left picture below).

If you do realise, I have monolids, so I actually place great emphasize on the eye area. Notice the difference between my left and right eye with just a simple brush of the liner.

4. Curl the lashes using eyelash curler. and add on the false lashes. Be careful to select the right type of lashes. Some falsies create a more dramatic effect on the eyes that are more suitable for parties or clubbing. In this case, I've picked a cross lashes that  produce a natural look on the eyes.

Before gluing the lashes, make sure to size the lashes. Hold the lashes against your eyes, and trim off the sides to the desired length that matches your eyes. Apply a thin line of glue along rim of the fake lashes, and hold them for around 10 seconds. Position the lashes close to your lashline.

This step is optional***
Apply the mascara to further lengthen or volume up your lashes. Or in cases where you realise that the false lashes don't seems to blend in with your own lashes.

5. Lastly, apply the Laneige lip gloss
Using a lipstick/lip gloss with the right color that suits the tone of your skin have the effect of creating a 'glowy' look to your face

Acropolates

This is a really back-dated post. Well i attended my first acropolates free trial. So basically, just sharing what i felt.

For a start, this is a dance that is heavily and always misunderstood and underestimated (I shan't go into the details), but it really is a combination of gymnastics and dance. It involves great flexibility, body inversion and you definitely gotta work on core upper body.

My first experience was indeed fruitful. Was taught by instructor Ming. We started off with the usual warm-up and with the guidance of Ming, we were taught basic moves like front and back hook, attitude spin etc..
The initial stage was a little giddy, but surprisingly it gets better as i proceed on.

To sum up, stop being skeptical towards this dance, its defintely a force to be reckoned with.

Its December !!!

This is my favourite month of the year. Its the month of joy, love and giving. I'm sooo looking forward to this year Christmas. Apart from that, I really had an awesome birthday (at least I felt so). Really appreciate what my friends/colleagues had done. And most importantly, I received an overseas phonecall from someone special.

Tribute - Steve Jobs

So Steve Jobs, an american inventor and entrepreneur, more well-known as the CEO of Apple Inc pass away on October 5, 2011.

Its indeed a shocking news to me. Yea, i know that he is been in ill-health, but i'm just not expecting this bad new to hit any time so soon.

Steve Jobs, said to be a perfectionist, who aspires to position his business and products in the forefront. Well, true enough, i think he had done pretty well, considering the huge masses of people queueing up in the early wake of the morning, just to be the first of get hold of the iphone.

But theres something i thought equally as important as his contributions to the IT industry. He has been battling with cancer for 7 years. Despite his sickness, he still continues doing his best for Apple, and hanging in there till the last moment. Isn't this equallly as admirable ?

273/365

How time flies, can you imagine, 273 days had already past. Its kinda scary how quickly we are moving from one phase of your life to another. Its like i was still a student a moment ago and now i'm already part of the work force.

If you were to ask me last year where i saw myself in a year, i could quickly tell you that this wasn't it. Everything i am right now is nothing like i thought i would be. Its just like the way i thought things are in general are different from what i thought they are. To see people walk away from my life and become strangers. And people that were once strangers mean more than the world to me. Seeing time fly in a blink of the eye and feeling like nothing have change, yet looking back at where i was this exact time last year and everything - different.
